peculiarity
RK-G172 is a coupling agent containing vinyl functional groups, which can improve the bonding strength between unsaturated polyester resins or cross-linking polyethylene resins, elastomers and inorganic substrates including glass fiber, quartz, silicates and many metal oxides. It can also reduce the sensitivity of the mechanical and electrical properties of the product in wet or high temperature conditions.

Reaction property
In the presence of water, the methoxy and ethoxy groups of RK-G172 hydrolyze to produce β-methoxyethanol and Si-OH, which can be connected to various inorganic substrates or interact to form Si-O-Si bonds.
The organophilic vinyl group at the end of RK-G172 can also react with a suitable corresponding polymer (which can be activated by peroxide or radiation).
Product application
  1. It can be used as a viscosifier for a variety of mineral filled polymers to improve their mechanical and electrical properties.
  2. Make the filler hydrophobic, improve the compatibility of the filler and polymer, make the dispersion better, melt viscosity reduced
  3. Improve adhesion with inorganic surfaces, and can be cross-linked with each other.
  4. Improve the dispersion of the filler, improve the mechanical properties, mechanical strength and so on.

The container should be sealed after opening to prevent water vapor from entering and producing hydrolysis.
Stored in the original unopened container at room temperature, this product has a shelf life of one year from the date of production. After passing the test, the buyer will decide whether to continue to use the expired product.
